Fergus Sweeney

Research Assistant

Fergus graduated with a degree in chemistry from the University of Sheffield and a master’s in renewable energy from Newcastle University.  He joined Ryder in 2021 as a research assistant having gained experience working as a Health, Safety, Environment, Quality (HSEQ) assistant for the Port of Tyne.  He found ways of reducing energy consumption and carried out an academic review of the Port’s energy management practices.  Outside of work, he plays six a side football in a local league.
